We would like to welcome you in Edirne, Turkey on 6-8 September 2018 for the 13th International Balkan Education and Science Congress that will be organized by the leadership of Trakya University, Turkey, cooperating with Ss. Cyril ve Methodius, Makedonya, Trakia University, Bulgaria, and University of Zagreb.
13th International Balkan Education and Science Congress aims to offer the highest quality of research by means of a large number of researchers and presenters, seminars, poster presentations, and panel sessions. Another purpose of the symposium is to create opportunities for scientific and cultural exchange within a friendly, informative and stimulating atmosphere among scholars, educators, and teachers.
The social events that will be organized during the symposium will give you the chance to explore Edirne. Just two and half hours drive west of Istanbul, Edirne is a charmingly attractive town with a rich history and architectural style. This former Ottoman capital has changed hands between ancient Greeks, modern Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Bulgarians, Russians and Turks over the centuries and remains a politically and economically important town today due to its close proximity to the Greek and Bulgarian borders. The most visited site in Edirne is the Selimiye Mosque. Widely regarded as the masterpiece of Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan, Selimiye Mosque and its complex were included on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2011.
We hope that this event will offer a chance for the participants to consider issues and share contemporary ideas and innovative perspectives from a wide variety of frameworks. We, on behalf of Trakya University, are looking forward to welcoming you in Edirne/Turkey in 2018.
